Extended metaphor

Definition: Usage of metaphor throughout the poem

Example:
Charlie is a bomb.
He is waiting to explode.
The bomb is full of anger;
he has a short fuse.
He may go off at any time.

Significance: Metaphor are used to make the poem sound better. Using metaphor throughout the poem make it sound much better.
